I recommend beginning students study 3-6 months of consistent lessons and practice to achieve short terms goals such as learning to read and play a specific song.

The short answer is yes. The long answer is yes, and we will find how to make your practice work for you. If you are practicing right, you will enjoy practice.

Most students begin learning music with 15-20 minutes of practice 3-5 times per week. How much time you should spend per week depends on your level and goals.

You don’t need a traditional piano, though it is certainly nice to have one. At a minimum a keyboard with 60+ keys that are touch sensitive and a pedal will get you started in learning the instrument.

Standard tuition rates are $150 per month for a 30-minute weekly lesson. Rates for 45-minutes and 60-minutes are also available.

Yes! My instruments include piano, saxophone, and voice. However, most musicians benefit from the musical foundation learning the piano provides.

Online lessons are an amazing way to connect. However, piano technique and sound are best learned in person. I teach online sessions though recommend these lessons for students with more than two years of learning or as a hybrid of in-person and online.

Though it is possible to learn some music basics and songs, most students learning solely from videos develop bad habits that are heard in their sound. The result is frustration in learning the instrument and can discourage a student from practicing a beautiful lifelong art.
