Fall Festival 2026: Step into the Romantic Era!

Join us for a musical celebration of the Romantic Period (1750–1820). The Romantic era of music gives us composers like Chopin, Schubert, Schumann, and more! From elegant etudes to expressive art songs, students will choose a piece they enjoy to study music that stands the test of time.

Event Highlights:

  • Choose a Romantic piece to perform

  • Play for a judge and earn feedback & points toward musical trophies

  • Top performers may be invited to the TMTA All-Star Festival in May!

  • Performances are not public

The Fall Festival is hosted by the Richardson Music Teacher Association (RMTA) and gives students a chance to:

  • Explore music from different time periods

  • Learn about Romantic style and composers

  • Kick off the school year with a performance goal

Important Info:
– Music must be memorized
– Original published copy of music must be provided to the judge
– Beginner students should choose a piece with at least 12 measures

Students must be registered for the festival by October. The cost of registration is $20 and can be paid right away or billed with the monthly invoice in November.
